The Lemonheads

After a hiatus of over 15 years, The Lemonheads are presenting new material. The album Love Chant, recorded entirely in Brazil, will be released in October 2025 and will feature original songs that combine psychedelia, heavier sounds, and quieter moments. Guest appearances will include J Mascis (Dinosaur Jr) and Nick Saloman (The Bevis Frond), among others.

The band was formed in Boston in 1986 and has been led from the beginning by Evan Dando—a charismatic creator of melodic, emotional pop with a punk edge. The Lemonheads gained fame with their albums It’s a Shame About Ray and Come On Feel The Lemonheads, as well as their cover of Mrs. Robinson, which brought them mainstream media attention.

After years of hiatus and side projects, Dando returns in great form—with a mature sound and an ever-accurate perspective on reality. In the autumn of 2025, the band will embark on a European tour.
