Lord Huron was created in 2010 by Ben Schneider from Los Angeles. After writing and recording two independent EPs ("Into the Sun" and "Mighty"), Schneider began to receive more and more inquiries about live shows. In response, he invited his friends to collaborate: Mark Barry (drums), Miguel Briseño (bass), and Tom Renaud (guitar). The group, who had first played together at just 12 years old, reunited and quickly gained momentum, transforming the project into a full-fledged band.
Lord Huron's debut album, "Lonesome Dreams," was released in 2012, and in 2015, the band released "Strange Trails." It was on this record that the multi-platinum single "The Night We Met" was featured, which became one of the 40 most-streamed tracks in Spotify's history. In 2018, Lord Huron earned worldwide critical acclaim and reached the top five of the Billboard Top 200 chart with their third album, "Vide Noir."
The band's most recent album, "Long Lost," garnered praise from NPR, Time, Los Angeles Times, Spin, and Stereogum, among others, and led to performances on shows such as The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Late Late Show with James Corden, and CBS This Morning: Saturday.
The band has numerous concerts at the country's most legendary venues to its credit, such as the Hollywood Bowl, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and Ryman Auditorium, as well as performances at festivals including Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Outside Lands, and many others.
